Did you know that Camp O-AT-KA was rated as one of the top ten camps in the country? O-AT-KA, founded in 1906, is a traditional boys summer camp located on Sebago Lake. O-AT-KA provides a nurturing and supportive environment for boys ages 7-16. The camp offers superb land and water-sports, and a strong arts and crafts program headquartered in an eight-studio arts center. Campers select from activities including: riflery, archery, sailing, fishing, waterskiing, campcraft, stained glass, nature, steel drums, pottery, photography, fly-tying drama, rock climbing, whitewater kayaking, and woodworking. Team sports and skill development are offered in soccer, tennis, baseball, basketball and lacrosse. Traditional values, an integral part of camp life, are reinforced by a superb staff, through group living and daily camp gatherings...all helping to build a solid foundation for life which stresses values, skills, friendships, and fun. Boys have been coming to Camp O-AT-KA for 100 years to grow closer to the natural world and to one another. They explore trails and sharpen skills together. They share triumphs and troubles, and learn important values as members of a close-knit cabin group and a wider camp community – values like patience and respect for others’ points of view, doing their fair share and helping others in need – life skills that are part of the personal growth that we want for every boy. Camp O-AT-KA is a place where boys can form life-long friendships. The wide variety of individual pursuits, team activities, and daily camp gatherings provide a well-rounded experience to every camper. Mature staff members offer guidance, instruction, and support to help boys become stronger, more self-reliant, and self-assured. With a 2:1 camper to staff ratio, the vast majority of our staff and campers return year after year. For additional information call 800-818-8455 or visit our website at www.campoatka.com
