Lake Camp offers modern, extensive facilities and state-of-the art
equipment. Most female counselors live in a cabin with seven campers,
with the remaining staff housed in separate male and female cabins.
Counselors have their own recreation lodge with cable TV that is open
for use during their leisure time. The camp season begins in late
June, and ends the third week of August. Staff members are required to
attend pre-camp orientation,
which
begins six days before the campers arrive. Some activities require an
additional training programs, which are scheduled before pre-camp
orientation. An optional Trip Leader Certification course is also
offered.
Our staff consists of approximately 135
counselors from all areas of the United States, as well as the United
Kingdom. Staff members generally have completed at least one year of
college before coming to camp, and approximately half are college
graduates. The staff is 75% female and 25% male, and we maintain a 3
to 1 camper ratio.
Tripp Lake is a non-smoking facility. Salary is dependent upon the
applicant's experience and qualifications, among other factors. Tripp
Lake also provides transportation assistance to and from camp, as well
as board, lodging, laundry service, and camp uniforms. If you are
married or have children, please note we have limited housing for
families.
